Glenn S. Gold passed away peacefully May 23, 2004 at home surrounded by his family. He was the son of Helaman and Marie Gold, born September 29, 1916. He married Virginia Hepworth in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, September 15, 1941. He is the father of Glenn Jr. Janet Roberts, Karen Arthur Miller, Kathryn Steven Allen, Jasper Richard and foster daughter, Perla Grimaldo Lee Pyper. He loved his 14 grandchildren and his 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and second mother, Louise; brothers, Lawrence Ruth, Merrold Marjorie and John. He is also survived by brothers, Leslie, Donald Kathleen, Robert Carol and David Mary Sue; sisters, Lucille McKay, and Margaret Richard Waken. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding multiple preisthood offices. These included Bishop and Stake Mission President. His great love was missionary work serving with his sweetheart Virginia at the St. George Temple Visitor?s Center. He served for over 20 years on Temple Square and the missionary department of his church. Prior to his illness he had a regular assignment at the Bountiful Temple. He received his B.S. Degree and M.S. Degree, along with having completed all his class work for his PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Utah. He worked in his field in the U.S. Army Air Corps and at the Veterans Administration for many years. Concurrently and subsequently he was an owner, along with his brothers of Pineae Greenhouses of Centerville, Utah. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 16th Ward Chapel, 720 East 550 North. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book and direction map at www.russonmortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, Glenn requested contributions be made to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
