Friederich (Fred) van Hoorn, Jr

Fred passed on peacefully at home after a short illness on January 17, 2021.  He was born April 12, 1948 in Rotterdam, Holland and came to the United States when he was 6.  An Army Veteran, he could build or fix nearly anything.  He loved fishing, camping and playing his guitars.  Fred worked for Utah Central Credit Union for 20 years then went on to doing bookkeeping for several small businesses and retired from Unitech in February 2018.

He was preceded in death by his mom Johanna van Hoorn, father Friederich van Hoorn Sr, sister Rhea Pehrson.  Survived by Brenda van Hoorn, Justin Pehrson (Diane), Brent Pehrson and Kathy Miyamoto.
