Frederick Alden Bangerter, a devoted husband and father joined his sweetheart ?Betsy? Aug. 31, 2006. Born in Salt Lake City, August 18, 1917 to Frederick L. and Mary B. Bawden Bangerter. He married Beth Wood November 21, 1941 in the Mesa, AZ Temple. He served his country in the Navy during WWII as an Electricians Mate. He retired from Western Electric after 41 years. An active high priest, he enjoyed service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and at the Bountiful Temple. He served as a member of the Worldwide LDS Network of Ham Radio Operators. He was an Eagle Scout and loved spending time with his family in the mountains of Brighton, Utah. Uncle Al embraced the computer revolution and enjoyed gardening in his retirement. He is survived by his loving daughter Darlene, his sister Nola M. Parley Hansen and brother Vern W. Linda Bangerter.Susan and many nieces and nephews Preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Lillian, sister Rowena Lauritzen, brothers Harvey, John and Richard, son Philip, daughter Susan. Special thanks to Dr. Horsley and extended family for the care, love and support given. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Tuesday, September 5, 2006. A viewing will be held Monday, September 4, 2006 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
