Francisco Javier Moreno

April 30, 1975 — January 23, 2022

Francisco Javier Moreno known to his family and friends as “Javi” or “Big Javi” peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the age of 46, at his home in North Salt Lake, Utah.
Javi was born in Ecuador to Nubecita Bravo and Carlos Tomas Moreno.

At the age of 21, he moved to the US with the love of his life, and they built a loving and caring family in their new country.

He was an amazing human being that brought happiness to everyone that got to know him. He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Javi is now at peace surrounded by light.

He was a combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important – many came to him for advice.

He loved sports; El Nacional and the Chicago Bulls have truly lost an honorary fan. Watching his youngest play soccer was a genuine joy and brought many smiles to his face.

A place within our heart is where you’ll always stay. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Javi was preceded in death by his father Carlos Tomas Moreno. He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife Karol Moreno; his amazing and loving children, Jordan, Jean Carlo and Javier Jr. (Baby).

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. MST on Friday, January 28, 2022, held at St. Olaf Church, 276 E. 1700 S, Bountiful, with a visitation on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. MST. Prayers will be offered. Family, friends, and others whose lives Javi touched are invited to attend.

A reception will take place after the funeral services.
