Dear Laurie — I admired how devoted and supportive your Dad was. He brought you to piano lessons and recitals. His love for you was evident, and I’m sorry you’re going to miss him a very long time. I met Woody when I tilled his garden many years ago. We had some great conversations over the years and I enjoyed his knowledge, wit and friendship. We will miss him and offer condolences to his family. Dee and Barbara Stephenson

It was a pleasure working wih Woody at Hill AFB in the AMMO Division. He was a good person. I will miss his visits and phone call conversations over the years. It was an honor to be his friend.

At one point I was Woody's secretary at HAFB. I was so sad to hear of his passing. He was a joy to work for.....so supportive and friendly. I loved hearing about many of his adventures in his life He knew the gift of being an American. God bless him and all of you....his family.

I worked with Woody for a short time in Ammo. I enjoyed working with and talking to him. He was really one of the good ones. My deepest sympathy for your loss. He will be missed.

I always looked forward to having Elwood come and visit Aunt Evelyn. He was such a kind man and I remember him letting me tag along on different site seeing adventures around St. Louis. He will be very much missed. I think that the fact that he passed away peacefully on his mom’s birthday is very comforting. You all are in my thoughts and prayers!🙏🏻
