Rob and Family, Thinking of you all during this time. Your dad and husband was such a great kind, gentle man, he has always been so kind and made me feel like one for the family. I have lots of fond memories of you all living in Taber and again once Rob and I reconnected years ago in Lethbridge. He was such an incredible man and no one can ever replace him. Sending lots of love. Jackie Harris

Kathy & Family, How we loved having you and Doug in our ward and neighborhood here in Hyde Park. I\'m so sorry I didn\'t get to say goodbye when you moved, but the pandemic situation made it so we didn\'t dare come around and compromise Doug\'s health anymore than he was already struggling with. Then you were moved before we even knew it. Do know our love and thoughts have been with you. We will and do miss you both! We so loved watching Doug\'s funeral today, it was such a lovely tribute to such a wonderful man. It was so great to see the immense love between your children along with all of their amazing talent, but to feel and see of their love for their Dad was truly precious. We really felt like we got to know Doug so much more, and are more in awe of you both than we already were. The stories were delightful! We know it was a welcome release for Doug, and we are sure thankful that you are living closer to your children and won\'t feel alone. Big Hugs, Janette & Niel Allen Hyde Park, Utah

Both Kathryn and Doug have been a special influence in my life. Doug was my seminary teacher, he was a fantastic teacher bringing the spirit and action to the the scriptures making them very relatable and alive. Doug and especially Kathryn became very close friends of mine. They are always thought of with a deep love and influence. May Doug rejoice in his reunion above and may Kathryn and family always feel him near as I am sure he will always be.

Dear Castleton family, Marianne and I send our deepest condolences at this tender time. We have wonderful memories of Doug and the family here in Sandy. A faithful man, a gifted man, a dependable servant, and a good friend - Doug was and is all of these. We know that a sweet reunion awaits all of us and we will see Doug again. Be assured that there are many whose lives are better because of Doug! We send our love, prayers and faith your way at this tender time.

I couldn't have asked for a better Father-in-law. From the moment I first met Doug I was met with warmth, love, grace and his smiling face. I could tell he was serving his family in every action and every decision that he made. He's an example of service, charity and hard work that I will remember for the rest of my days. Thank you Doug for helping me to be a better husband, father, brother and servant of the Lord. We'll miss your presence, but will always feel you near. Rest In peace my dear friend.
