Dennis O. Lundstrom

December 23, 1976 — July 26, 2022

A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend left his earthly station far too soon when Dennis O. Lundstrom, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Those who knew and loved Dennis are heartbroken by his return to his Heavenly Father. We will greatly miss the warm heart he expressed toward everyone he met, his hearty laughs at the silliest jokes, and his unwavering love for his wife, children, family and friends.

Dennis was born to William (Bill) Lundstrom and Eileen on December 23, 1976, in Garden Grove, California. He spent his childhood in Salina, Kansas before moving to California and graduating from Hesperia High School. After Dennis met his sweetheart, Kimberly Hastings, he served a proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City. Following his service, Dennis and Kim were sealed for time and all eternity on March 25, 2000, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they created a home for their three amazing children in West Valley City. He worked at Rocky Mountain Power for the last 15 years and was active in his Church ward holding various callings.

Dennis loved to play video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and other role-playing games. He attended and worked dozens of local conventions including CONduit and LTUE. He was a true Utah Geek, and even co-founded and published Utah Geek Magazine with his friend Adrian Broadhead from 2014-2017. He loved to cook and barbecue for others, garden in his backyard, and camp in the outdoors. He was always interested in whatever his children loved to do.

He is survived by his wife Kim, his children Daegan, Corbin, and Aubree, his mother Eileen, his siblings Angela (Frank), Mary (Bert), Stephen (Patti), and Amanda (Kevin), and his many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, William.

Funeral services will be held at the Hunter 11th Ward located at 5065 W Janette Avenue (3965 S) in West Valley City on Wednesday, August 3rd at 11:00 am. Friends and loved ones may call at the church Tuesday, August 2nd from 6:00-8:00 pm, or Wednesday 9:45-10:45 am prior to the services.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Brothers Mortuary Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.

Memories and tributes can be sent to the family in the “Guestbook” tab on this obituary page.
