Dean was born October 30, 1914 in Glendale, ID to Asa Lot Webster and Rachel Porter Webster. He graduated from Preston High School and then worked on various farms in the Blackfoot area. He moved to Salt Lake City and began working for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired after 30 years of service. On August 1, 1945 Dean married Alice Johnson Binning. They were near their 60th wedding anniversary when he suffered a broken hip and then a stroke. After nearly 2 years of wonderful care and support from South Davis Community Hospital he passed away on June 7, 2004. Dean was an active member of the LDS Church, especially in the priesthood and scouting programs. He is survived by his wife, brother Carl Lois Webster of Bountiful, sisters Eva Thompson of Salt Lake City, Connie Peterborg of Clearfield and Vonda Webster of Bountiful, sisters-in-law Dorothy Webster and Eva Webster, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wayne Webster, Max Webster and baby Valdo,a foster son, Raymond Binning, sister Gladys and 3 brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Bountiful 11th Ward Chapel, 115 Wicker Lane. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street and Monday morning from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
