BOUNTIFUL-David Rex Neilson passed away Monday, April 2, 2007 of natural causes. He was born April 10, 1920 to Nellie Rex and John Neilson. He grew up and attended schools in Evanston, WY. Married Nedra Knudsen on August 13, 1946. Sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage last August. He was a dedicated, faithful and loving husband and cherished every day he spent with Nedra. They both loved to travel and spent many memorable vacations together in various countries of the world. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Mining Engineering. He served his country in the Coast Guard in WWII and faithfully raised and lowered the American flag every day. He was employed by Utah Power and Light for 28 years as a Land and Advolorum Tax Administrator. David maintained an impeccable yard and always had a twinkle in his eye when he greeted you. He held various church callings and loved his service as a sealer in the Sydney, Australia, Salt Lake City, and Bountiful UT. Temples. He and Nedra served a mission in the Sidney, Australia Temple from1989 to 1991. He loved western clothing and was always smartly dressed in his cowboy boots and bollo tie. He loved to arise early and swim at the Deseret Gym and did so every day for 25 years. He was a member of many dance clubs as well as a member of the Dine Orators. David was one of the most caring, patient and faithful human beings to ever live. He will be deeply missed by his eternal sweetheart, family and friends. David was preceded in death by his mother and father and sister, Mary Neilson Brown. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful Heights Stake Center, 33 South Moss Hill Drive 1500 East. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday morning from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 North ?N? Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
