Darlene May Vincent Walker beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007.

Darlene was born on July 23, 1916 to John Thomas Vincent and Birdie Vincent in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married O. Darrell Walker December 10, 1938. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They had two children.

She began to play piano at age 3, had perfect pitch and was able to hear a piece and play it without music. She took piano for many years and later began organ lessons. She was willing to play the piano or her own ?theatre? organ for friends and family whenever they asked. There were many ?jam? sessions held in her home with friends playing various instruments. They could really get things ?rocking?.

She enjoyed playing for Melodrama and silent moves on the theatre organs at the Capital Theatre, Organ Loft, Pipes and Pizza and a local theatre in Park City. She and Darrell helped restore the organ at the Capital Theatre.

Darlene was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, holding many teaching and leadership positions. She was ward and stake organist for over 23 years.

She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. Annual two week trips to Yellowstone National Park with her family and friends were planned for July 5, the day before fishing season opened at Fishing Bridge. Proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, and a great grand daughter. Darlene is survived by her son Doug Vickie and daughter Darla Glenn Motzkus, six grand children and twelve great- grand children. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Our House Assisted Living and the professional staff of Legacy Health Care for their kindness and thoughtful care they provided to Darlene.
