Connie Hanson Lawrence passed away April 5, 2006 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born December 18, 1917 in Woodeville, Idaho to Ostlin Hogan Hanson and Mary Marinda Johnsen. She was one of four children, three daughters and a son. She married Daniel F. Lawrence on September 15, 1939 in the Logan, Utah Temple. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in many callings in the church including many years as a Relief Society President. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a gardener, a cook, a musician, a singer, a quilter, and seamstress and shared those talents liberally. Her spirit of love, compassion and charity was given to many throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan and her sister Ada Hanson Stricklan and her brother Kenneth Ostlin Hanson. She is survived by her sister Leona Hanson Johnson, her sons, Dan Roger Shirley, Richard J. Leslie and Wayne F. Charlene and daughter, Susan Charles Peterson, 13 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12th at 12:00 noon at the Val Verda 5th Ward Chapel, 2633 South 50 West, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, Tuesday, April 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. or at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
