Carl Bury

d. November 23, 2006

Our dear dad Carl Bury peacefully left this world on a beautiful autumn Thanksgiving afternoon. The passing of this sweet, kind and generous man will bring tears of sorrow and joy to his family everyday as we remember him always. He was 89. A man of great integrity, honesty and wisdom he has been our example of a Christ-like life. Dad spent his school years in Hammett, Idaho and college in Pocatello, Idaho. Dad met and married the love of his life Ann Tanner August 24, 1943. His career was with the Union Pacific Railroad for 45 years. Dad?s work ethic was his trademark. Dad was a member of the LDS church and had a simple, firm testimony. Survivors include his two grateful daughters, Carolyn Bill Lewis, and Francine Hank Williams, Five grandchildren, Marie Scott, John Trish, Rachael, Michelle Doug and Jeremy Ginna and twelve great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Ann, also his parents and sisters. He loved his home at Parklane. The food was good; the residents were caring companions, and the bird watching enjoyable. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29 at 1:00 in the 21st North LDS Chapel, 680 East 2nd Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may call from 11:30 ? 12:30 before the services. Interment-Salt Lake City Cemetery.
