Calvin Boynton

Calvin A. Boynton passed away November 29, 2008 from complications after a stroke. Born April 13, 1920 in Bountiful, Utah to John Roy and Ethel Hayes Boynton. Married Janice Hatch, October 8, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Corps in WWII. He had a love for the outdoors, especially going to the cabin, boating, fishing, hiking and spending winters in Quartzite, AZ. He loved sports and enjoyed watching Jazz games. He is survived by sons, Gill, Alan Lynn, Dean Lisa, and John Amy; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife, and great-granddaughter, Tasmin Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Bountiful 39th Ward Chapel, 1500 South 600 East. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
