Bryce (George) Rappleye

September 4, 1935 — March 9, 2020

George Bryce Rappleye, 84, passed away peacefully at his winter home in Florence Arizona on March 09, 2020. He was carefully watched over by his wife, children, grandchildren and hospice care.

Bryce was born on September 4, 1935, in Logan, Utah. His parents were Voyd Jolley (V. Jay) and Eiley Dunbar Rappleye. His childhood was spent mainly between Logan, Utah, Tetonia, Idaho, and Idaho Falls, Idaho. He and his first wife, Myrleen Morgan, raised their seven children in Fair Oaks, California and the Heber Valley in Utah.

Bryce was married for a short time to Marilyn Ryan. He shared many memorable years married to Jean Hodges in St. George, Utah. He recently married his sweetheart, Maxine, in 2018 and the spent his final years between Clinton, Utah and Florence, Arizona.

Bryce was a successful businessman, avid golfer and fisherman, music lover, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved the gospel with all his heart and shared his burning testimony with all whom he came in contact with. His all-time favorite church calling was Stake Mission President in the American River Stake in California serving with his counselors and numerous missionaries. He loved to share stories and had a cunning sense of humor that beat the band.

Bryce’s most valuable treasures were his testimony of Jesus Christ and his family.

He is survived by his sister, Scottie Aloha(Bud Munns); wife, Maxine Morrison Child; seven children: Daniel Bryce, Patricia Lynn(Eric Millis), Lorrie Ann(Joel Manley), Dale Alan(Kim Cappadonia), Donald Jay(DeNae Dennett), Wayne Dee(Annette Beers), and Robert Shane(Heather Bauer); many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and beloved step-children and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Preston Tate Manley.
