Beverly Marie Hill Blattner

September 30, 1938 — June 3, 2021

Beverly Marie Hill Blattner age 82, died on 3 June 2021, following a prolonged illness. She was born 30 September 1938, in Rexburg, Madison county Idaho, to James Franklin Hill and Hildegard Ingeborg Emilie Trost.

She graduated from Walla Walla Washington High School in 1956. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s Degree, in Early Childhood Education. Following graduation, she was employed by the University. She funded her education by working on a wheat ranch in eastern Washington State as a cook for the family and crew during harvest. Her skills in baking and cooking was wonderful for her family and any guests.

In 1962 she met Robert Louis Blattner and following his graduation from Brigham Young University, they were married 6 June 1963, in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Beverly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in both Ward and Stake callings in Relief Society and Young Women Organization and in Scouting, while also supporting her Husband in his lifetime of church callings. She loved and served all her life to everyone around her. She also served for 11 years in the Bountiful Utah Temple.

It was said of her, “…she was such a beautiful example of quiet, Christ like-service. She sees a need and does what she can to help another with the burden they bear…I was able to see a glimpse of the service she rendered to the sisters in our ward… I have always been so impressed with her quiet dignity and the love and respect she has for others no matter what their situation.”

She wanted everyone to know, “I loved my family, and my country, and treasure my testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Blaine Ellsworth Hill and her sister Bernice Kay Hill. She is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter Paula (Bryan Wardell) and sons Robert Charles Blattner and Aaron James Blattner (Laura Whitchurch) and seven grandchildren, Emma, Eli and Aidan (Blattner) and Danae, Melissa, Nicole, Brandon (Wardell) and five great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Bruce Paul Hill, and her sisters Beatrice Fay (Tyler) and Bonnie Ruth (James) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, 11 June 2021, at the Kimball Mill Ward meeting house, corner of Mill Street and 200 East, in Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, and Friday morning 9:45-10:45 am, at the Kimball Mill Ward meeting house prior to services.
