Barbara Ann Nichols Droge

May 20, 1945 — March 31, 2022

Barbara Ann Nichols Droge loving wife, mother, sister, and friend returned to her eternal home on March 31, 2022.  Barbara was born on May 20, 1945 to Willard Thomas Nichols and Violet Evelyn Ross.  Growing up in Park City, Utah, Barbara was the third of four children. Barbara loved her siblings and especially loved hiking in the hills behind her childhood home.

After graduating from Park City High School in 1963, Barbara served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States Mission. She cherished the experiences she had there and loved sharing stories of her mission and the joy she felt in serving with her children and grandchildren. On October 10, 1969, Barbara married the love of her life, Ronald Droge, in the Salt Lake Temple. Barbara and Ronald are wonderful examples of what it means to love one another and to be one as husband and wife.

Barbara was an example of love and compassion all the days of her life. Although she faced many physical challenges throughout her life, she was an example of grace, service, and dignity. Of the capacities she had to serve, her favorite was teaching children and was proud of being able to teach Primary for 20 years. She also loved cross-stitching and crocheting and left a legacy in the many pieces that she made and shared.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Ronald, her sister Evelyn McConkie (Rick), her children Tim (Tiffany), Julie Prologo (Richard), Willard (April), John (Tina), 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her brother John Nichols (Sue) and her sister Ruby Lake (Frank).

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday April 7th at the Woods Cross 5th Ward chapel, located at 2064 South 800 West in Woods Cross, Utah. Visitations will be 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Internment will be at Bountiful City Cemetery.

Services will be streamed live on Russon Brothers Mortuary Facebook page and on this obituary page.
