Anthony Travis Leyba

February 21, 1982 — February 23, 2022

Anthony Travis Leyba, age 40, residing in Centerville, Utah, passed away on February 23, 2022, after a long battle with liver complications. Travis was born February 21, 1982, in Aurora, Colorado to Ken and Cindy Leyba. He was the third of four children.

Travis found his dream and direction through the Navy Sea Cadets program at age 16. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 2000, married his first wife Brandi, and enlisted in the U.S. Army. In 2001, he was called upon to serve his country in two tours overseas, first in Afghanistan, and later in Iraq, where he was injured in the line of duty and was given an Honorable Medical discharge. He and Brandi divorced shortly after. While stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he met Jolene, the mother of his oldest daughter. They parted ways a short time later and Travis returned to Salt Lake City where he met his wonderful, and forever wife, Lindsay. They were married in 2006, and together they have three beautiful children. Travis loved, before anything else, being a father. His children were the light of his life.

Travis was an athlete who enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, rollerblading, scuba diving, fishing and the outdoors. He was a huge soccer fan, playing as soon as he was old enough to join a team. He was a mischievous child, spirited, intelligent, and funny. He had a huge heart and was always looking out for others. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Travis was not only a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, but he was a best friend to many.

Travis is preceded in death by his mother Cindy and nephew Bret. He is survived by his father Ken, his loving wife Lindsay, his four children Shye, Aiden, Ashlyn, and Alexis. He is also survived by his siblings Tracie, Troy (Madi), Trina (Benjamin Stephens), Lindsay’s parents and siblings, and twelve nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 950 North Main Street, Centerville, UT.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a Veteran’s charity and the Bountiful City Skatepark Project https://gofund.me/aa19eeda – both are causes Travis was passionate about.
