Anne Mulitalo Lewis

July 17, 1966 — December 13, 2021

Anne Mulitalo Lewis, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, “ran through the veil” at 12:59 PM on December 13th, 2021, at age 55.  She died due to long-term complications from diabetes.

Anne was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 17th, 1966, to Paovale and Beverly Mulitalo.  She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was ten years old, which led to a life-long struggle of medical trials.  Yet despite these struggles, she always had a smile on her heart that translated to her face.  She was strong in spirit like no other and was an outstanding inspiration to everyone who met her.

Anne was sealed to her eternal companion, Chris Allen Lewis, on September 1st, 1988, in the Salt Lake Temple.  Two people never loved each other more.

Anne had a gift for numbers and received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Utah in 1991.  Shortly after graduating, their beautiful daughter, Jennifer was born.  Anne felt extremely blessed to have Jennifer and expressed that love every moment of her daughter’s life.

Anne was very artistic and enjoyed things like painting, crocheting, and jewelry-making.  She displayed her love of music as a flautist and enjoyed planning family trips to Disney World.

Despite her health limits, she strived to be neighborly and of service to others.  She established many friendships that lasted throughout the years.  She was strong, selfless, determined and fought long beyond her life expectancy to be there for the people she loved.  She was by far the strongest person our family has ever known and she will always be an inspiring example of love, courage, and sacrifice.  She was the light of our lives and that light will burn bright forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Anne is survived by her husband Chris, daughter Jennifer, mother Beverly, and siblings Karen, Ray, and Jeff Mulitalo.
