Allen Lewis Halbritter

July 24, 1960 — November 7, 2021

Allen unexpectedly passed away on Nov. 7th, 2021, one day before he celebrated his 35th wedding anniversary.

He was born in Keyser WV, July 24th, 1960, to his parents Oakie Wallace Halbritter and Mary Virginia Brown. Who he was reunited with after his passing along with his baby sister who passed away shortly after birth.

One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family. His dream was to pursue a career in the United States Air Force. He did just that when he joined after graduating from high school in 1978. He was highly rewarded throughout his military career. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Six years after joining the Air Force in 1984 he was stationed to Hill Air Force Base UT. Where he met the love of his life Pamela Jean Edwards. They were married Nov. 8th, 1986, and later sealed in the church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day saints in the Salt Lake City Temple on Nov. 27th, 1999.

Through his military career he was stationed in several locations many of which he enjoyed. Some of his favorites being Germany, Florida where his oldest son Dustin Wallace Halbritter was born and South Carolina where his second son Brandon Lewis Halbritter was born. He was stationed away from his family in 1995 to Korea till 1996 when he returned to HAFB. After 21 years of service, he retired in August of 1999. He then went on to Civil Service as a jet engine mechanic at HAFB.

He was a great example as a father, husband, uncle, brother & son. There was no doubt that he was one of a kind, he was thoughtful, caring, helpful and generous. He proved this through his daily actions to his family and friends. He loved to go camping and to travel specially to see historical sites. However, he loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

Allen is survived by his wife Pamela, Sons Dustin (Kayla), Brandon (Bailey), Grandson Camden, Brothers Denzil, Brian (June), Sisters Latricia (John), Rosemary and many nieces and nephews.
