Alan D Robison

Alan Del Robison, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away on November 28th after a valiant battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Alan was born on September 6, 1950 to Golden Dean and Norma Pabst Robison in Rigby, ID. After graduating from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho, he went on to attend college at Idaho State University.

In 1968, Alan enlisted in the Army and was soon deployed to Vietnam serving as a private first-class gunner. Alan was honorably discharged for medical reasons in 1970.
After Alan returned from Vietnam he furthered his education attending drafting school followed by medical assisting school later in life. He worked as a drafter for a number of years.

In his early 30’s Alan married Geraldine (Samuelson) and was married for 29 years. “Jerry” died of cancer in 2006. After which he met his current wife & sweetheart Barbara Dawn Casemen of Salt Lake City, Utah. Alan and Barbara married July 22, 2008 and since that day Barbara has been by his side.

After retiring in 2014, Alan spent his time painting, working on models, and other art projects, attending the LDS church, continuing to run marathons, or just jamming out to Rock N Roll music. He enjoyed spending time outdoors; shooting guns, archery, fishing, or just hanging out on the front porch. Alan enjoyed spending time with Barbara and her sons, and was excited to become a step father and grandfather to Barbara’s children.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and grandson Ben. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; Brother Barry, Sister Theda, Sister Shanda, Sister Lola, and Brother Fred; his 5 step children; Mark, David, Carey, Tim, and Shane; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Lexi, Carson, Jaycie, and Dan and 3 great grandchildren Azure, Harmony, and Kaizen.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to services. Burial will follow at Elysian Gardens 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, UT.
