Frank Hinckley Craven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 09, 2019 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful due to complications of heart and renal failure. He was surrounded by his children and family.
He was born December 10, 1936 in Salt Lake City, UT to Frank Craven and Mary Hinckley. He served an LDS mission to the London England South Mission. He married Sharolyn Rae Van Orman on February 17, 1961 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in History.
He worked hard to provide for his family in personal life as well as his professional life. He had a seasoned career in the airline industry working for United Airlines, Western Airlines and Delta Airlines which he retired from.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings with his last one serving as a ward clerk which he loved.
His hobbies were gardening, yardwork, leatherwork and endless remodeling projects both within and outside the home. His passion in life was his wife Sherry. Building and creating a home together was something the two of them loved a home they enjoyed with their 8 children.
His wife Sherry preceded him in death. He is survived by his children Shawn (Colleen), Michelle, Corinne, Melanie (Dave), Rebecca, Dan (Holly), Gretchen (Mike), Gretel (Jeret), 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and his younger sister Angie Craven Lovell.
His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Lakeview Hospital for their tender and compassionate care as he returned to his heavenly home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00am at the Bountiful Canyon Park Ward Chapel located at 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Russon Bountiful Mortuary located at 295 North Main Street and Saturday morning from 9:45am-10:45am at the church prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
