Emma Lou Sorensen Vincent returned to her heavenly home on April 8, 2017. She was born on February 17, 1933 in College Ward (Cache County) Utah to Chloe Lorraine Hansen and Leonard Edwin Sorensen. She joined her brother Wayne and sister Flora as the baby of the family. She grew up as a farm girl, was the junior prom queen, a student body officer and seminary graduate.
She married Grant Lyman Sorensen in 1951 and they had 3 children-Jane, Becky and Grant. They later divorced and Emma Lou became a single parent. She made sure her children were always cared for and protected. She worked at Harmans Café, Litton and Summit and helped produce some of the first hand-held calculators. In 1968, she married Clifford L. Vincent and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his death in 2003. They were sealed in the Bountiful temple in 2004. Emma Lou was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was 35 and struggled with this disease for the remainder of her life. She had numerous surgeries and joint replacements. She was such a fighter with a fierce will to live—she loved life! Most of all, she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to visit, talk on the phone and kept track of everyone. She loved flowers, shopping, and a good party, especially the annual cousins party. She was a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her children, Jane Stetich, Becky and Barry Anderson, and Grant and Kim Sorensen, 11 grandchildren -Nicholas, Daniel, Peter, Brett, Michael, Bradley, Mandy, Emma, Jamie, Holly and Clint and 24 great-grandchildren. She loved her cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Cliff’s children Kathy Davies (Bob-deceased), Mary and John Thomas and Debbie and Rod Thomas.

She was our fiercest protector, our constant watchguard and our best advisor. We know she is watching over us still. She has always been our one constant star. We love you!
