Arvill Brown PaceMarch 24, 1933 ~ November 3, 2017 (age 84)
Arvill Brown Pace passed away at the age of 84 on November 3, 2017. He was born in Wanship, UT on March 24, 1933 to Alma and Annie Lydia Pace. He was the youngest of 6 children. Dad graduated from North Summit High School in 1952 and attended Utah State as well as Trade Tech where he became a Master Welder. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married his sweetheart, Pearl Arlene Belt, on March 22, 1958. Together they raised 7 children while Dad worked 3 jobs to support the family. Dad was employed for many years at Utah Power and Light. It was a job he enjoyed and he loved the friendships he made over the years. Dad spent many years working at the family dairy farm. For the past 15 years he has managed and worked a ranch in White Pines, Park City. It was his happy place and he continued working there until September of this year. Arvill is survived by his children Terry Pace, Susie Riley (Gary), Cheryle Shields (Brian) as well as Damon Cornish, 18 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and his great grandchildren who loved their “Poppy Great” dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, wife, Arlene, and children Ken, Rusty, Brad, infant daughter, Peggy, and one step-grandson. “Aaahh, shit.” We love and miss you daddy.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, November 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Family and close friends are invited to a viewing Friday, November 10, from 11:45 a.m. -12:45 p.m. with a short service to follow at 1:00 with interment at Farmington Cemetery immediately after. All services will be held at the Farmington Russon Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, UT.
